An original watercolor of Sandpipers running along the shoreline based on the first watercolor painted the day before. This watercolor just flowed unlike the first one where I had to work really hard to try to achieve the look of the waterline and incoming surf as the backdrop behind the Sandpipers. Pencil lines of drawing remain intact along with Cerulean blue, raw umber and gray pigments on 300 lb. Arches cold pressed watercolor paper.
I find great joy and inspiration making art and great satisfaction when my art moves or inspires others. My paintings come from memory, emotion, places I have seen and spent time. I take 1000s of photos while spending time in nature. Sometimes my paintings are planned and sometimes they're completely spontaneous.
